Medellín, Colombia (CNN) — Medellín, once dubbed "the most dangerous city in the world," has worked hard to shed that image connected to drugs, gang warfare and gun violence.
Medellin was once famed for being one of the most dangerous cities on earth, but a lot has changed since the dark days of the 1990s, and it has become a hugely popular tourist destination in recent years.
