Full Job Description
Georgia State University's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is looking for Motion Graphics Designer / Post Production Specialist to work in Atlanta with our versatile multimedia production studio team in the development of innovative learning projects for GSU courses.
Are you passionate about technology, your client's success, and looking to make a difference? Ranked the #2 Most Innovative National University by US News and World Report, Georgia State is a leading force in the digital transformation of higher education.
Applicants for the position will be creative professionals tasked with conceptualizing, planning, producing, assessing, and continuously improving media projects for GSU courses and programs. Additionally, the position will consult with the multimedia team, instructional designers, and subject matter experts on multimedia-related solutions to pedagogical challenges.
As a Motion Graphics Designer / Post Production Specialist, you will work on our multimedia to envision how students experience learning and bring that vision to life in a way that feels innovative and inspirational. You will anticipate students' needs by deeply understanding them. You will make the complex simple. You understand that the details are not just details, they make the experience. You believe that you’ve done a great job as a video producer when users do not notice your designs, it is invisible to them because it works. You are a motivated self-starter with the ability to produce video projects independently from conceptualization to presentation with little management or guidance. You also enjoy collaborating with a team and bring a positive attitude to each challenge.
In this position you will:
· Apply human-centered design principles and design innovative, elegant content for a diverse audience.
· Develop from conceptualization to presentation motion and video projects for departments and courses at GSU.
· Work with instructional designers and subject matter experts on converting complex data and concepts into innovative motion and videos projects.
· Partner frequently with the graphic design and web design teams in the development of cohesive multimedia packages, including interactive videos.
· Solicit feedback from users, cross-disciplinary partners and stakeholders. You will give feedback and/or collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts on implementation.
· Experience with a willingness to explore work with many media types in collaboration with our full multimedia team.
