Our 2018 Forest River R-Pod, AKA The Escape Pod, is a 20ft, 3800lb budget friendly getaway for up to 4 people. It is an ideal alternative to traditional camping with the comforts of home and the simplicity of an RV. It is easily towable with almost any mid-size SUV or small truck. We also offer delivery and set-up for $2/mile

The Escape Pod features a comfortable, wraparound dinette that converts into a queen bed and 2 bunks. The galley is built into the slide and includes a fridge, microwave, and a 2 burner propane stove. We have included a pod style coffee maker so that everyone can enjoy their favorite hot beverage any time during the trip. There is a small wash closet/toilet combo as well as an outdoor shower. Also included with each rental is the convenient R-Dome which transforms the front of the camper into an enclosed outdoor space without the inconvenience of mosquitoes or rain to dampen your day. However there is also a smart TV, and many included board games to entertain the family on those rainy days, or cool evening.

What's included

We love that you will be bringing your favorite four-legged companion with you but we do have an additional $25 pet cleaning fee.

We ask that you bring your own linens, however we do include mattress covers, and a nice topper for the dinette. There are 2 fold-out chairs, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. We recommend disposable flatware and plates.

The black and grey water hookups are included as well as several pairs of gloves and disinfectant wipes.

Recommendations

The upstate of South Carolina has many options for camping on the lake. There are also beautiful campgrounds in the area that provide convenient access to local hiking trails, including the Appalachian and Foothills trails. There are many wonderful waterfalls all along the Highway 11 corridor. One of our favorite campgrounds is South Cove in Seneca, SC.

We ask that you do not smoke in our rental and we would love if you read the quick start guides that we provide for each system. Also feel free to reach out to us with problems that arise during your trip.
