Recommendations

My family have travelled coast to coast in our Hummingbird. As new travel trailer owners, we had the stress and expense of outfitting and learning the ropes of camping. We have went through the beautiful Redwoods, stayed in the Mojave Desert, weathered snow at the Grand Canyon, visited the many beautiful springs of Florida, been to the amazing sandy beaches and have enjoyed Disney's Fort Wilderness. My wife and I wanted others to enjoy the beauty of Florida without the stress and expenses that come along with owning a travel trailer.

I recommend families to look at the many beautiful state parks in Central Florida and along the coastline. Full Hook-Ups are great, Partial Hook-Ups are preferred, Primitive or Boondocking opportunities are possible. I really like the State Parks that have swimmable springs or the panhandle beaches.

Other things to note

Dogs are allowed, but with exception. We are dog people and love dogs. However, number and type of dog/s will need to be disclosed to us prior to approval. Dogs are not to be left alone in the unit unless crated and for no more than an hour.

We are DELIVERY ONLY at this time and don't allow people to tow our Hummingbird. The renter has to be present to receive the rig, to go through training and sign the departure/return forms.

Renter will be responsible for verifying ID through Outdoorsy to activate the insurance.

We don't expect the unit to be spotless upon its return. However, we do expect our renters to have their trash picked up, messes cleaned, dishes washed and stored away, and dirty towels and wash clothes put in the provided laundry bag. Failure to do so will result in the Excessive Cleaning Fee of up to $50 (depending on time to perform such cleanings).

We expect the renter to love and care for the unit like it was their own. Clean up your messes, wipe water spills up immediately and return the unit in the same co

The renter is responsible for maintaining and preventing the black/grey tanks from overflowing (damaging the rig). A mid-stay sewage service is offered if needed.

The renter is responsible for the awning. Winds over 15 mph can damage the rails of the awning. The awning should be rolled up prior to storms to prevent damage. Falling branches and rip the vinyl of the awning as well as the door can rub a hole in the awning. The renter should take all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of the awning.
