The City Council for the City of Lilburn meets every 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Lilburn City Hall.

A work session is held at 6:30 p.m., on the second floor of Lilburn City Hall, in the adjacent conference room, for council members to discuss business on the meeting agenda.
The Downtown Development Authority is a coalition of business leaders appointed by the City Council to assist with revitalization and redevelopment of the central business district and the Lawrenceville Highway U.S. 29 Corridor Overlay District.
The Planning Commission is established by local ordinance and conducts public hearings on land uses, zoning changes, proposed subdivision of property, and actions for consideration by the City Council.
