What is Native American Festival & Pow Wow

21ST ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN FESTIVAL & POW WOW Bring your students to experience the energy and color of the largest Native American gathering in Georgia.

Featuring dance, music, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking traditions, storytelling, wildlife presentations and more. Ongoing activities include: a living history tipi village, primitive life skills, interactive demonstrations of local and regional native cultures, dance and drum exhibitions, live music, wildlife, native foods, weaponry, various arts and crafts demonstrated by renowned native artists and much more.

DATES: November 3 – 6, 2022 (Field Trip pricing available on November 3 & 4)

TIMES: Festival hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Attractions hours: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

COST: Native American Festival only - $13.00 + tax Native American Festival + Attractions Pass - $16.00 + tax *Attractions Pass includes the Native American Festival, plus the Skyride, 4D Theater, Mini-Golf and Dinosaur Explore One chaperone per 10 students is admitted free; additional chaperones pay student price. Additional tickets cannot be purchased on the day of the program.

REGISTRATION

  • Reservations must be made and paid for at least 21 days prior to the date of your visit to receive the discounted group admission rate.
  • All orders are subject to a service charge of $10.00. Your tickets will be mailed to you in advance unless you have opted out of mailing. Payments received less than 21 days prior to your visit date will be subject to an additional $10.00 rush service fee, totaling $20.00. There are no exceptions and no refunds. This fee applies to all group orders.
  • No walk-up groups will be admitted.
  • You will receive one FREE adult chaperone ticket per every 10 students when you pre-register. Additional adults pay the same rate as students.
  • Minimum group size of 15 students is required to receive the discounted admission rate. No maximum.

 

PAYMENT

  • Payment is due at least 21 days prior to the date of your visit. Unpaid reservations will be canceled if payment is not received.
  • Refunds will not be given for any unused portion of your reservation.
  • Payments are not accepted at the gate for the group rate.
  • Prices above do not include sales tax.
  • All Field Trip orders are subject to a service charge of $10.00. Late payments received less than 21 days prior to your visit date will be subject to an additional $10.00 rush fee, totaling $20.00.

 

CANCELLATIONS

  • Cancellations 21 days before the scheduled visit will receive a full refund.
  • The Native American Festival & Pow Wow is a rain or shine event. Please ensure that children have proper attire for the weather. Refunds will not be issued for inclement weather.

 

LUNCH
You may bring your lunch to Stone Mountain Park, but areas to sit and eat may be limited. Several locations are available:

  • We have two public picnic areas, the Studdard or Triangle, with tables available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Park Pavilions are available on a first-come, first-serve basis unless already rented for a private event. All other locked pavilions are not available.
  • There are several locations between the Memorial Hall Museum and the Skyride Plaza available, as well as the Memorial Hall Terrace.

For safety, we do not allow groups to eat in the parking lots nor on any rock structures.

 

PARKING

 

  • Buses/motor coaches traveling with a group with pre-paid tickets must present a final booking confirmation showing payment has been made to have the parking permit fee waived. If the final booking confirmation is not presented, $20 fee will be charged. Public/private schools or government buses with a permanent logo or name printed on the vehicle will have parking permit fee waived.
  • Personal or private vehicles traveling with a school or tour group are required to purchase a parking permit ($20.00 per vehicle) or have an annual parking pass. This includes chaperone vehicles.
