ABOUT THE EVENT

What is Gwinnett County Kwanzaa 2025: Celebrating Kujichagulia Principle

It's based on African harvest festival traditions and the philosophy of Kawaida, which defines culture as a key component in people's development.

The Gwinnett County Kwanzaa Celebration: Ujima and Ujamma 2025 takes place virtually on Saturday, December 27, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. It is a family-friendly event, so bring the entire family and your friends.

Kujichagulia: The second day of Kwanzaa is dedicated to the principle of kujichagulia, which means "self-determination". The day is a call for African-Americans to define their own culture, identity, and values, rather than being defined by others.
The event features a Kwanzaa program, activities, Black books giveaway, Black culture games, prizes, and networking We are going to love up on each other while building Black unity and power with a 2025 strategic plan!
