Time for a Restyle: A Little Vintage Fun on My Mantel


Spring is the perfect time to refresh your space, and one area I always love to update is my mantel.

I have this gorgeous, large black stone fireplace in my house, and while my ultimate goal is to find the perfect vintage tapestry to hang across its full length, I’m not quite there yet. So for now, I’m making do with what I have around the house and giving it a little restyle for the season.

Let me take you through the process of how I styled my mantel with some of my favorite vintage finds and spring vibes.

Anchoring Each Side of the Mantel

The first thing I want to do when styling the mantel is create balance by anchoring both sides. On one side, I’ve placed a striking piece of art that I absolutely love—it's a Moulin Rouge print. It’s bold, colorful, and definitely draws attention when you walk into the room.

On the opposite side, I’m going for a more natural feel with a large stone vase. I’ve filled the vase with some really fun florals and greens, letting them drape out to make a little statement. I love how the contrast between the art and the greenery gives it that perfect mix of modern and vintage.

Adding Books and Vintage Glass for a Touch of Charm

Next, I added a few books in between the statement pieces, stacking them in a way that feels casual yet intentional.

I’m really into using vintage glass, so I found a few pieces that I scored second-hand, and they’re perfect for adding some mood lighting.
