I have to admit that at first I was a little overwhelmed. With 9,000 streets in the Medina alone, it can be like working out a puzzle.
Although I’d been to Marrakesh, Fes was more of a deeper experience into exploring Moroccan culture.
I would see beautiful leather shoes one minute, then a goats head on a spike the next. It wasn’t as glamorous, but it was richer in so many ways.
