Tesla Stopping Model Y And Cybertruck Production For A Week In July


t’s no secret, Tesla is facing some tough times these days. The pioneering American manufacturer of all-electric vehicles was the darling of the automotive world just a few short months ago, and now, there are serious doubts about the company’s future. CEO Elon Musk’s provocative behavior, a stale vehicle lineup, quality concerns, and other issues have turned off many drivers around the world. With declining demand for its vehicles, Tesla had to do something.

And according to a recent article from Business Insider, the company is pausing production at its factory in Austin, Texas. This facility builds the provocative Cybertruck as well as the popular Model Y utility vehicle. Reportedly, this is the third time manufacturing at this plant has been paused within the past year.

“In a meeting earlier this month with workers, the company said the shutdown would begin the week of June 30, and production would resume the following week, according to a person familiar with the matter,” Business Insider noted.
