No Snow? No Problem. Why You Need to Go to Aspen in the Off-Season

At 8,000 feet in the air, Aspen, Colorado, is breathtaking. Literally. Though most famed for its glamorous ski season, Aspen has a secret: It is equally beautiful, if not more so, in its summer months. Warm, breezy days transform into crisp, chilly nights; an occasional bear sighting makes the heart feel alive again, and wildflower-covered trails crisscross this Rocky Mountain haven, making it the most ideal place to get in touch with nature. So, a word to the wise for the wandering soul: If “the earth laughs in flowers,” as Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, then Aspen is the place to get a good laugh.

When you rise and shine in Aspen, take a moment to properly fuel up before you take on the day. Roll on over to Poppycocks Café, a quaint little mom-and-pop shop where you can take a seat on the patio outside, and dig in to some poached eggs (like the huevos rancheros with avocado and homemade salsa), a fortified health drink (fruit, protein powder, egg), or the famous “Old Fashioned Oatmeal Pancakes.” Read full travel article here.
