A lot of modern technology is a real saving grace to make our lives easier. But, sometimes, it can make once simplistic acts a real pain. Windshield repair falls in the latter category. The days of a windshield serving as a piece of glass are long gone folks. Instead, technology that works with modern cars makes it so much more than something to keep precipitation out. And these repairs are become far more costly, too.
First is the integration of cameras or other sensors in the windshield, looking out at the road with you. "They're becoming really common on a wide range of vehicles," says Aaron Schulenburg, executive director of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists, the trade group for collision repair technicians.
