The main agencies are: Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority using the brand name Tahoe South and is responsible for promoting and selling lodging on the south shore of Lake Tahoe; North Lake Tahoe Resort Association or Tahoe North which promotes the north shore of Lake Tahoe; and Reno-Sparks Convention Visitors Authority also known as Reno Tahoe which promotes Reno and their accommodations. The jurisdiction of each agency is the main difference.
