But I have to be honest… I’m a 39 year old woman, and I do laundry at my mom’s house.
I know some people could say that I’m too old to rely on my mother to get my laundry done, but I am a single mother, and I need every bit of help I can get.
Plus, when I do laundry over there, it’s a great excuse to spend time with her, which she likes, too.
But something strange started happening. My laundry started smelling worse and worse, like rot and mildew.
And every time I washed them, they smelled worse!
I asked my mom if she knew what was going on, but she just shrugged.
“It’s a new machine, I don’t know what to tell you,” she said.
I decided I had to take it into my own hands, so the next time I went over there, I had a plan.
I ran the machine with just bleach, thinking that it could clean the machine and kill the smell.
But nope. It smelled worse somehow!
I asked my mom again to do something. I told her that my kids are stinking up the place at school, and that I don’t want them to get bullied.
“Can’t you hire a plumber or something to figure it out?” I asked.
But she just shrugged, “Why don’t you just do your laundry at the laundromat if you want to make such a stink about it.” Read more...
