Visions of towering sand dunes, ancient lost cities and camels strolling through the desert is what most people expect to see during a Jordan trip, so it may come as a surprise that the country has idyllic coastal areas as well.
After spending 10 days in Jordan, I was looking forward to enjoying some lazy time on the beach and to spend my days without a fixed schedule…just going where the wind would take me. Let’s explore some of the loveliest things to do in Aqaba.
Aqaba, the only coastal city in Jordan, is a base for diving the coral reefs of the Red Sea, or heading to the Star Wars-esque landscape of the rocky Wadi Rum.
