2026 Bugatti Tourbillon

Overview
The 2026 Tourbillon is the first completely new design from Bugatti since the brand merged with electric sports car maker Rimac in 2021, and it replaces the mega-powered Chiron in the company's lineup. With a staggering price tag of $4.6 million, customers will expect a special vehicle, and they'll find it in the Tourbillon's sculpted curves and custom-made V-16 engine. The Tourbillon adds three electric motors to the multi-cylinder gas powerplant, for an astounding total of 1775 horsepower—more than any previous Bugatti model. The interior is all about the tactile experience, with luxury materials like leather, machined metal, and crystal. The Tourbillon sets aside ideas of self-driving and screen-heavy in-car entertainment in favor of an analog driving experience that calls back to the earliest days of the Bugatti brand, only much faster.

What's New for 2026?
Everything about the Bugatti Tourbillon, from the chassis to the roofline, is new for 2026. Bugatti claims that not a single component is shared between the Tourbillon and its predecessors. Gone is the Chiron's turbocharged W-16 engine, in its place is a hybrid powertrain combining a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V-16 with three electric motors. While the overall bodylines will be familiar to fans of the brand, every panel has been reshaped for a lower, leaner look, with wider fenders and a narrower cockpit.

Pricing and Which One to Buy
The price of the 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon is expected to start around $4,600,000.Every Tourbillon comes well-equipped with a luxurious interior, but don't expect things like massaging seats and digital displays. We expect Bugatti's "Sur Mesure" customization program to be available to Tourbillon buyers who want a specific color combination or interior motif. We'd encourage tasteful builds, considering that Tourbillons will undoubtedly star in concourse shows for the next 100 years or more.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2026 Tourbillon is technically a hybrid, but the star of the show is a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V-16 engine that's been designed with help from Cosworth and makes 986 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The big block is then paired with three electric motors, which boost combined output to an incredible 1775 ponies. The engine is backed by an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. We haven't had the chance to drive one yet, but we're obviously eager to do so. When we get the chance, we'll update this story with driving impressions and test results. Read more...
