It used to be the home of Canadian soldier Agar Adamson and his wife, Toronto elite Mabel Cawthra. The style of the house is often mistaken as Spanish when it is actually of Flemish origin, a type of architecture that Agar incorporated into the mansion’s design after he fought in Europe during World War I.
