Aaaahhh, the lazy days of summer.
It’s the time when the outdoor spaces become official living rooms around our house. As the summer heat and humidity ramp up, we’re slowing down. And it usually involves a cold drink and a place to lounge.

One of the features of this house that grabbed us that fateful Sunday afternoon saw our fixer-upper for the first time, was its unique and somewhat quirky Southern style. The French doors, the balconies, and porches galore.
I’ve always been a sucker for a good, iconic Southern porch. Gracefully swaying porch swings and comfy wicker furniture. Planters overflowing with cascading ferns. And the slow rotation of ceiling fans that beckon you to kick back and stay a spell.
You could say these patios and porches had a big hand in why we live here today.
